OUR FOUNDER,WALLY
Wally's story was not one of privilege or inherited wealth; rather, it was one of resilience, determination, and the extraordinary ability to turn dreams into reality. Wally's journey began in 1971 when he founded Schaus Group, an agricultural enterprise that specialized in cattle procurement. What made Wally's story even more remarkable was the fact that he had started his business from nothing, building it up from the ground with unwavering commitment.

Born into humble beginnings and adopted into a loving family, Wally always carried within him a deep appreciation for the value of hard work and the importance of seizing opportunities. As a young boy, he developed a profound connection with animals and the land, spending countless hours exploring the rolling fields and fertile pastures that surrounded his childhood home.

With an innate passion for agriculture, Wally took his first steps toward his entrepreneurial journey when he acquired his very first cow. It was a modest beginning, but Wally had an unyielding vision. He tirelessly devoted himself to learning the intricacies of the cattle trade, acquiring valuable knowledge, and building relationships within the industry.
Through years of dedication and perseverance, Wally transformed his fledgling operation into one of Ontario's largest cattle procurement companies. From his humble origins with a single cow, to the University of Guelph where he studied, he expanded his business with an unwavering commitment to excellence and integrity.

Meet Ken, a true embodiment of passion, expertise, and community spirit. Hailing from Hanover, Ontario, Ken's life has revolved around the cattle industry since his early days. With a deep-rooted understanding of the business, he embarked on a journey that would shape his life and leave an indelible mark on the agricultural landscape.

At the young age of 18, Ken joined the family business as a partner, driven by a genuine love for the industry and an innate knowledge of its intricacies. His dedication and hard work propelled him forward, and his contributions quickly became instrumental in the company's growth and success. Ken's journey in the cattle industry is nothing short of inspiring, as he seamlessly blended his experience and passion to become a driving force in the field.

He has been happily married to his beloved wife, Marsha, for 30 years, a partnership built on love, support, and shared values. Together, they have raised two remarkable daughters, who embody the same spirit of dedication and community engagement. Their family is completed by Buddy, their loyal and energetic blue heeler, who often graces the office with his presence, bringing joy and enthusiasm to all who encounter him.
